Meet Your Ranch Managers

Robert & Tia

Tia Saletta

Tia has over 40 years of professional experience teaching horsemanship to youth and adult students.

Her lifetime experience in horsemanship and ranch management, coupled with her formal training in riding, gives Tia the unique qualifications to teach novice and more experienced horse enthusiasts, not only to ride but to become an accomplished "equestrian", to better communicate with their horse.

Tia has attended and passed in the top 5%, of the California State Horseman's Association Judging clinics (required of all C.S.H.A.judges) in western, hunt seat, and saddle seat.

She has a BA and Masters Degrees from CSUS.

She continually updates her knowledge of training and instruction through courses, clinics, and seminars. She has studied with the guru of horsemanship, Tom Dorance.

She trained with the very accomplished trainer, Raelen Mayfield, and incorporates some of her techniques.

Tia says "It is important for riders to develop both knowledge, good hands, and a balanced seat to achieve a solid foundation upon which both the horse and rider may excel".

Seven years ago, Robert and Tia's paths crossed in a way that would change their lives forever. At the time, Robert was a bounty hunter operating in the Bay Area, but Tia, wary of being involved with a bail bondsman, encouraged him to relinquish his license to the Department of Insurance, highlighting her commitment to a different kind of integrity.

Robert, driven by a passion for service, had originally dedicated his life to being a missionary priest, advocating tirelessly for social services. This noble mission eventually led him to the world of bail bonds, where he could continue his desire to help others. Raised on a goat farm in Delhi, California, Robert learned invaluable lessons from his grandfather, Jack Wade— a world-champion cowboy during the Depression era. Concerned that Robert might follow his rodeo dreams, his grandfather relocated him to Modesto, guiding him toward a higher calling in ministry.

For the past seven years, Robert has immersed himself in the work at the ranch, training under the expert guidance of Albert and Betty Saletta. His unwavering dedication to the health and well-being of the horses, along with the safety of everyone at the ranch, sets him apart. Available 24/7, Robert diligently monitors the ranch and its animals, ensuring that they receive the exceptional care and attention they deserve.

With Robert overseeing the ranch, you can trust that every horse is not only well cared for but also thriving in a safe and nurturing environment.
